Adaptogenic Root Soup for The Soul (and Skin)

There’s a nip in the air, the temperatures have dropped, a cool breeze gently envelopes us while winter softly knocks on our doors. The turn of the seasons can be especially rough on our skin - the first barrier between us and the environment. This time of the year especially, I make sure some Feel Good Skin is within my reach. 

The beauty of this mix is in the careful selection of the herbs like maca root, berries, ashwagandha and flax seeds - to feed your skin with all the antioxidants and omega fatty acids. And the fact that you can take the goodness of any kind of veggies and soups to a whole new level by adding a spoonful of this.

Some winter days you need that extra pop of colour, to lift your your spirits inside out. And on days like these, there’s nothing I love more than curling up in my favourite corner with a steaming bowl of my favourite comfort food for my soul and my skin - this Feel Good Carrot, Beetroot and Potato Soup.

Carrots break down inside the body and convert into Vitamin A - responsible for supple skin, Beetroots bring in Vitamin C, known for its brightening properties, while Potatoes lend their rich source of minerals and fiber. In addition, it also has ginger and basil leaves for that extra boost of nutrients.

For this comforting and wholesome soup, you will need:

1tsp Feel Good Skin
2 carrots
1 beetroot
1 medium potato
A little ginger
Handful of basil (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
Boil beetroot, potatoes, carrots and ginger until soft. You can also add a little bit of butter and basil leaves and let it boil further.

Once it cools, add a spoonful of Cosmix and blend until you get a smooth consistency. 

Add salt and pepper to taste. 

Garnish with more basil.
