THE PROCESS BEHIND FERMAGUT™ 

Our proprietary fermentation process transforms everyday yeast into the most absorbable, gut-friendly protein on the market. Here's exactly how 

  1. We begin with yeast similar to the kind that makes bread rise. Unlike traditional plant proteins derived from peas or rice, yeast provides a unique blank canvas, rich in potential.

  2. As the yeast consumes the biofeed, it grows and ferments, releasing a host of powerful byproducts including peptides (the building blocks of protein) and high-quality fibres like beta-glucans.

  3. Most fermentation processes run their course. But we do something radically different: we stop the fermentation at exactly the right moment, when all the beneficial byproducts are at their peak. We call this Controlled Environment Arrested Fermentation (CEAF) and it’s the core of our FERMAGUT™ process.

  4. Once we hit the sweet spot of fermentation, we stop the process and move to the most crucial part: extraction. This is where we isolate the highly bioavailable peptides, the protein in its most usable form along with beta-glucans, which are naturally occurring compounds known for their immune and anti-inflammatory benefits.

So, alongside building FERMAGUT™, we made deliberate exclusions:

MAXIMUM ABSORPTION AND MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE 

Protein quality is measured using Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score, This is a standard that reflects how well your body can absorb and use protein.

Yeast protein achieves a PDCAAS of 1, the highest possible score, placing it in the same category as whey. But unlike whey, it does this without dairy.

Digestibility is where most proteins fail. These issues usually come from complex protein structures and additives used to mask uneven texture.

Our proprietary FERMAGUT™ process addresses both by breaking protein down into simpler, more digestible forms. The result is a protein that's easier on the gut and lighter to consume.
