What Women Want: All You Need To Know

Cosmix began with the founder, Vibha Harish’s intent to treat her PCOS and hormonal imbalance through natural remedies. And since then, it has been a journey of making holistic health accessible to people, especially women, everywhere.

With What Women Want, it’s like we’ve come full circle. This mix is a potent blend of superfoods that help restore hormonal balance, regulate menstrual cycle, ease PMS, menopausal and perimenopausal symptoms, and promote overall physical and mental well-being. Want to know more about this much-awaited mix? Read on!

When can I expect to see changes?
The general timeline for the herbs to take effect is 6-8 weeks of consistent use. However, it really depends on one’s own health status and lifestyle. Because the mix is formulated to cater to internal factors, those with existing issues are likely to see a difference faster than those who are generally healthy.

Does it help with cramps and fatigue?
What Women Want contains herbs like alfalfa, nettle leaf and lemon balm that are known to help ease pain and fatigue, as well as allay stress. However, it is important to note that some degree of pain, discomfort and issues symptomatic of PMS are likely to be present, as it’s the body’s natural response mechanism. This mix is not to be treated as a pain relief alternative.

What’s the best time to take this mix?
We recommend taking this mix every day first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. However, in case you have stomach sensitivity or digestive issues, you can totally have it with your breakfast or any food.

Do I adjust the quantity of the mix I'm taking during my cycles?
We recommend a standard dosage of ¼ to ½ teaspoon for all our mixes, other than Passion Potion. This is the standard quantity that gives you the right amount of nutrients without overwhelming your body. You don’t need to adjust the quantity during your menstrual cycles.

At what age can someone start taking this?
The intent of this mix is to help regulate and balance your body’s hormones and maintain reproductive health. As such, we recommend this mix to anyone who is past puberty, so that the hormones are more stabilized.

In what way will it help someone who is in a peri/pre/post-menopausal phase of life?
Peri/pre/post-menopausal phase of life comes with symptoms like mood changes, slowed metabolism, brittle bones, changes in skin health among others. What Women Want contains herbs like Shatavari which is known to ease the symptoms, Alfalfa which strengthens bones and improves skin health, prevents water retention and helps control mood swings, and Maca Root helps provide relief from cramps.

Is it okay to mix it with Happy gut/probiotics/inositol with What Women Want?
Yes, it is!

Is it okay to consume birth control pills and this mix reaction?
While there are no known side effects, it is important to note that birth control pills in themselves interfere with the natural hormonal balance and the effect will be stronger than the What Women Want mix. We also suggest consulting with a health practitioner for the best way to consume both.

Does it help with infertility?
What Women Want contains Shatavari, a herb and adaptogen renowned for its benefits for women’s reproductive health. Shatavari helps with maturation of the follicle, which regulates ovulation and improves chances of conceiving once the menstrual cycle has been regulated. However, this mix is not to be used as a treatment for infertility. Please consult a gynaecologist for the best course of action.

I suffer from hormonal imbalance. Will this mix help me?
What Women Want is a thoughtful blend of women’s health specific herbs like Shatavari, Alfalfa, Maca Root, Lemon Balm and Nettle Leaf. Together, these herbs help regulate hormonal balance, ease symptoms of PMS, improve your menstrual cycle as well as flow. However, this mix is not to be used as a treatment for specific conditions. Please consult a gynaecologist for the best course of action.

Does it impact menstrual flow?
The blend can help regulate estrogen dominance, often a factor in fibroids and endometriosis, which affect menstrual flow. Due to its hormone balancing function, the mix can also help regulate your menstrual flow. However, the strength of the flow varies from individual to individual, unless there’s an underlying issue, e.g. fibroids, endometriosis, etc. which causes heavy bleeding. In which case, specific treatment is recommended.

If my flow was normal and I started this and the flow/cycle changed, is it part of the process or should I be wary?
You may see changes. If your flow has improved, i.e. more regular cycle/flow, then continue taking. If you find your cycle is being interrupted or the flow is significantly affected, we suggest you stop taking the mix.

Can breastfeeding women have this?
While there is no known evidence of any side effect during breastfeeding, we suggest you consult with your health practitioner before proceeding.

I use your Feel Good Skin mix. Can I combine it with What Women Want?
Yes! For women experiencing hormone-related acne or skin issues, pairing Feel Good Skin with What Women Want will give you the best results.

What’s the best food/liquid to pair this with?
While we believe water is the ideal pairing, you can have it with juice, smoothies and milk too. We do not recommend pairing this with tea, coffee, aerated and sugary drinks.

Can people with thyroid take this mix?
They can. However, it is important to note that this mix is not formulated to treat thyroid specifically. We suggest consulting with a health practitioner for better guidance.

Is it safe for those with high body heat?
Absolutely! The mix is actually cooling, so it’s a great choice for those with high body heat!

What if I use this mix for 4 months and don’t see improvements?
The purpose of this mix is to not treat you, but to promote an overall state of health and well-being. It’s similar to how you would approach multivitamins or other nutritional supplements. The benefits may not be dramatically visible, but it’s always there keeping you healthy. However, you can discontinue if you wish to.

What happens if I stop using it after 3/4 months of consumption?
Ideally, the balance will be maintained, and your body will continue experiencing the benefits of the mix. However, we suggest continued consumption of the mix for at least 6-8 months, before you decide to stop.

Once my cycles are regular, should I stop?
You can stop if you wish to. However, there is more to the mix than just menstrual health. What Women Want helps you with stress relief, improved energy levels, bone health (especially important for women) and an overall state of health and wellness.

How would the body of someone (75+) really old react to this mix?
The mix is generally safe for women of all ages above puberty. Although the menstrual benefits will no longer apply, there is much for them to gain from shatavari's phytoestrogens, nourishing and tonic effects, as well as benefits of other herbs such as improved vitality, stronger bones and better holistic health.

Does this affect my libido?
It will either improve your libido or leave your libido unaffected. What Women Want contains Shatavari which is known to improve libido.
